It’s a Mad World

It has been a very busy few weeks, I have been on national television, been honoured with a national bronze award for my book and now blog for a nationally recognised and respected Internet site. I should feel on top of the world, so why don’t I?

In the same few weeks there have been ‘revelations’ in the press that berate the childcare profession that is my passion, reports that confirm my own findings in my book that child development is regressing and yet more wasteful and underhand practices by a Government that should be acting with its best intentions for us but sadly is not.

I can’t even begin to put in to words my feelings on the rest of the world’s inhumane and callous actions. In an age when we should have learned many lessons from our past, when progression should be overtaking regression and  when clarity and equality should be leading we have deceit and prejudice at an unrivalled level.

Sadly, I cannot change the world, but I can continue to stand up and speak where I can and effect change even if it is a small one.

Remember, if you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito!
